I am working on a multi hour documentary and I thought to give Kdenlive a try for such a task. All great, but today after I updated to the latest version and reopened my previous project, it is re-doing the "jobs" part. Probably recreating proxy clips for all of my videos? The problem is that I have 40 or so 4k footage there, over 3-4 hours long in total. And it is taking ages. Is this normal?

It took less time when I reopened last. So far seems ok.
