New computer

Sat Jan 23, 2021 2:05 am
I have new computer and I am running Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon. Ubuntu Studio and Windows 10 Pro. I use KDEnlive on the Linux based OS. Inside my Computer sits an 8 GB Graphics Card, and I would like for Kdenlive, when rendering videos to use that Graphics Card rather than my CPU to render the footage. If I have long Video, and while using Kdenlive, I have a 2nd toolbar on my right hand screen and on it I have an app that monitors my CPU temperature, and when I press render, I watch those temps go up radically, right at the time I write this it is showing 86 Degrees, when I press render on Kdenlive, I have seen it top 112 degrees. I think this is doing long term damage to my CPU and I want Kdenlive to use my Graphics card for rendering processes.
Any Help will be well taken here

Unfortunately, kdenlive does not (yet) support GPU-based rendering.
Hope your cooling system in your new rig can cope with it ...
