Alignment errors after rendering

Thu Feb 04, 2021 9:37 pm
Hello,

Why does the formatting/alignment change on my clips after the videos are rendered?
I have no idea where to even start with trouble shooting this one. I don't know the terminology to google the issues even.
I am admittedly very new to video editing.

I make art education videos to use in virtual learning for elementary students. I would like to add text elements to my videos. I have been (successfully) layering clips and everything looks good in the project monitor. Track one is my main video and then track two has my text overlays with different effects to appropriately position them in the frame. I use a combination of effects: Zoom pan, Rotate, Crop/scale/tilt, and/or transform. I've completed a handful of videos this way ( current work in progress: https://youtu.be/xRM96bAn_Xc ) and feel like things were going well.
-- Suddenly, something has changed. --

I'm doing some short drawing demos that don't NEED text, but I would like to know what is going on! This is what I see in the project monitor: https://photos.app.goo.gl/RYYz6GG6nVjE6Rbc8

Everything looks right, until it renders and this what I get:

I tried using a different profile. I first noticed this issue with this groundhog day video:
Good: https://photos.app.goo.gl/MHLj9npS5CXYWnFJ6
Bad: https://photos.app.goo.gl/W2CtKSK1QcQdGC926

I am kind of afraid to go back to finish my work in progress video - I don't know what changed or how to compare settings. I'd love to be able to troubleshoot and watch tutorials, but I don't know where to begin with this one :'( :'( :'( .

Thanks
