Maybe this question has been asked before, feel free to point me to the answer.
If not: how do I change the name of a track?
When I insert a new track, I can give it a Track name, but it seems to be impossible to change an existing track name (e.g. V1, V2)

It's not 100% intuitive, I clicked a lot everywhere before realizing .. but it's very easy, in the end.

In the Track Area (where there are information for it: Vx,Ax, the icons for visibility, lock, ecc. and the arrow to "collapse" it) if you go with the mouse in its bottom part it will appear a box around the area for the track name: double click there to assign a name to the track (or to rename it if it has already one).

kryxkave, I see what you mean. I have to adjust the height of the track for it to accept input from the keyboard.

To be consistent with e.g. the project bin, I would add the rename option to the right mouse actions (Insert/delete/rename Track), and give it the shortcut F2
