Hi,
lets be exact to the point

I believe my laptop have GUI capabilities but i can't use it in kdenlive as it make the kdenlive crashed each time i try it.

The current parameter for
Code: Select all
VAAPI INTEL H264
is
Code: Select all
f=mp4 vaapi_device=/dev/dri/renderD128 vf=’format=nv12,hwupload’ vcodec=h264_vaapi vb=30000k acodec=aac ab=192k
this is default.

And it fails everytime for this reason.

Rendering of /home/dev/Videos/final/Video3-Final cut.mp4 crashed
Code: Select all
Warning: Ignoring XDG_SESSION_TYPE=wayland on Gnome. Use QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland to run on Wayland anyway.
[AVHWDeviceContext @ 0x7fbcc0207d00] libva: /tmp/.mount_kdenliy2zPJu/usr/lib/va/i965_drv_video.so has no function __vaDriverInit_1_0

I tried it in wayland and Xorg both. (If that's matter)

This is vainfo output I believe it is in working conditions

Code: Select all

libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/iHD_drv_video.so

libva info: va_openDriver() returns 0

I have mesa installed and vulkan and everything still it crashed all the time.
One more thing i wanna say that in the error message
Code: Select all
libva: /tmp/.mount_kdenliy2zPJu/usr/lib/va/i965_drv_video.so has no function __vaDriverInit_1_0

libva is asking for a function _vaDriverInit_1_0
but in my vainfo my system has
Code: Select all
libva info: Found init function __vaDriverInit_1_10
Is this a bug if yes then how will i make use of vaapi in kdenlive gpu rendering.

I'm using Ubuntu 21.10
