yeah i think they've removed it because it didn't work great (don't quote me on that though). It's a shame though cause it can be quite useful to reduce tracks

I'm trying to find a way to apply effect in a region. Of course, I can put the same clip on two tracks and use a mat to mask the effect.
But there's a problem with two tracks. If the clips have 5 effects on each clip and the 6th effect is on one clip only. Any changes in the 5 effects have to be applied on both clips

The region module has been deprecated in MLT 6.26. Is there an alternative to add to the MLT7 task list?

So now it's gonna be effects masks, and it's coming in 21.08! From the gif in the telegram group, you use rotoscoping + your effect + a new "apply mask" effect, and it applies the effect to only the roto part
