Kdenlive 21.08
Installed through Snap
Rocky Linux
I am putting together a slide show with kdenlive using several image sequences.
Up until today, Image sequences with pan and zoom animations have been added to projects successfully and show pan and zoom animations when played within kdenlive as well as the rendered video. Today however, pan and zoom stopped working. I have checked clip properties and the clip shows animation pan and zoom, low pass selected. I have tried rendering the project to an mp4 and the result still has no pan and zoom. dissolve and wipe functionality between images is still working.

I have rebooted and also reinstalled kdenlive. I also tried adding an image sequence to a new project (thinking that maybe the project was corrupted), animation is still not working. I do not see any errors within kdenlive nor during the rendering process
Any idea on why this function stopped?
Thanks

What effect are you using for your pan & zoom ? if position and zoom try using transform. If transform, try position and zoom

Thanks for your reply. I have tried both "zoom pan" and "position and zoom" under "transform, distort and Perspective" and those appear to work. I could not locate the other method you suggested, but neither of those is the effect that stopped working. The effect I am working with is a "canned" effect under "image sequence". if you add a collection of images to a project (in Project Bin down arrow next to add clip or images then select image sequence) you can select animation techniques to all the images you select, pan and zoom being one. I can select all the other options of adding an image sequence (duration, dissolve, wipe, etc), but any of the animations do not work. Using image sequence is a very fast way of assembling a slide show rather than manually implementing a pan-zoom for each image. It was working fine until yesterday when it suddenly did not; seems as though I hit some sort of effect disable button--although that is strange as I reinstalled kdenlive and the problem remained.

A follow up: This seems to be reported as bug 438880 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=438880. Version 21.04.0 works while 21.04.2 and 21.08.0 do not.

Likewise can't get any of the animations working for image sequences. Version 21.12.3
It was such a good feature.
