I'm looking to learn one editing program and install it on all my PCs. I thought that was going to be KDEnlive.

The latest KDEnlive doesn't play well with one of my PCs. Which uses the proprietary Nvidea 340 driver.

I get flicker in the monitor windows, but not logging (see reddit link a screen recording)

Using Nuveou is not an option as other things break.

- Is this bug likely to be fixed?
- Is there anything I can do (other than use drivers which, as above, break other thibgs)?

there are no other (linux) users with this issue... and probably many of them are using the GT210.. have you tried latest nightly build? https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kden ... 4.appimage

this is just a try... the issue is related to Nvidia drivers at 100% ... but i don't have a solution, when this happens on Windows machines it's necessry to switch from DirectX to OpenGL to solve...

I disagree, the issue is all over this very forum. Unfortunately their solution Noveau drivers can't work for me.

I think I was using the latest app image, but I'll try the things you've suggested and report back.

i saw this user but the card is a GT240.. similar to 210 and with same drivers.. but 2 different cards, today i will check on my shop if i have a Gt210...

If it helps my OS is ubuntu 20.04

So, the problem persists with the latest daily (nightly?) appimage - Version 21.11.70 build #1015

As others have suggested fullscreen monitor works as a workaround, but isn't useful to my workflow.
I also can't try changing openGL as that option is not available in settings > video

I'm happy to test things on my PC and send back diagnostic data / logs if that would be helpful.

today i build a PC (intel i5 8th gen - 8gb ram ddr4 - Nvidia G210)
installed latest Ubuntu and latest Kdenlive Appimage and nvidia 340

How is the preview window? That's what flickers on mine?

No idea why mine is broken then. Mine still looks like the video in my reddit post (linked in the OP)

I read somewhere it's an upstream QT issue? Can we cross-check versions of everything?
