On opening .avi file following warning popup

Do you want to open a backup file?


neither "Recover"
nor "Open Backup"
can work

you can't open a a video file.... only kdenlive project files... (that ends with .project) ... if you want to place an .AVI file on Kdenlive, just drop it on timeline.
