Hello KDE team and users,
Everytime I click on the timeline while the video is being played, the video stops. https://imgur.com/rwF1up6 So I have to hit space bar in order to play the video again. Is there a way to toggle something like a "continuous playback" so the video cannot be stopped by clicking, but only after I hit space bar again? Thank you. |

Interesting feature request. Couldn't find anything in kdenlive to enable that but starting to see the benefits. I would support that feature request, so why don't you open one?

this was implemented some time ago'... i remember that was enabled by default and i requested to not loop by default (this is a pain in large projects)
but i just tried and seems not working... i opened an issue about that : https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kdenl ... ssues/1280 |

Not sure this is what the OP meant: IMO, the request is to put kdenlive into some sort of continuous project playback mode. That way the user can click anywhere in the timeline and the playhead jumps to that position and playback resumes. This would allow for going through the same sequence over and over again without the need to set a zone for looping. When you want to resume normal editing you press a button or click an icon to exit that mode and continuous playback would stop. In that mode clicking on the timeline would just move the playhead to that position and stop any running playback.

you are right... it's a completely different feature, and can be nice to have also on jog shuttle. |
