:) usually i start a shutdown timer directly on windows using command prompt :) .. if the rendering takes 2 hours and i need to exit from home i start a shutdown procedure after 3 hours... (i have 3 batches on desktop ... 1hour 2 hour 3hour)
i think that an ufficial auto-shutdown procedure need to be implemented first on Linux (and a after that p[orted to Windows / macOS )
BTW there are issues related to this... the project was saved before starting rendering? (it's necessary to force user to save?) if the rendering fails what need to do Kdenlive? where a rendering failed jobs need to be reported if the machine will be powered off?
lot of things that maybe will be added to Kdnelive.. but probably this require a lot of time.

P.S. and example of shutdown batch (2 hours) :

Code: Select all
shutdown -s -t 7200

this need to be placed on a .BAT file.. and executed as administrator.
