Mobile formats in portrait, how2?

Fri Jan 21, 2022 3:41 pm
Is it possible to make mobile format video's and renders with Kdenlive?
Portrait format? As 1080 x 1920 size and such (so not 1920 x 1080).

How to do that??

Just set the project resolution to that ratio. Open the Project > Settings dialog, click on Manage Project Profiles icon (looks like two sliders), then on create Create New Profile icon (document with a = sign) and enter the size. Make sure you give it a new name and then click on Save icon.

the portrait fullHD is already on presets... NEW PROJECT --> SETTINGS --> CUSTOM --> VERTICAL HD 30 fps
( if 30 fps are good for you )

if you have landscape clips... just ignore the request of changing project resolution when dropping them on project bin.. and rotate clips to portrait using the "DISABLE AUTOROTATE FLAG" (a tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCYczYjvTcc )

Thanks you both ;D

Can't find the 'vertical' preset yet. Will look for it again, but already found where to create one.
Great!

Thanks berndmj and bartoloni ;D
Couldn't find the 'custom vertical' preset, but got it done to make one (actually two) myself in the Project Settings dialog.

Many thanks. Can move further doing fun stuff with this.
