I can't even drop 3 OGG files into a project, with a background picture, and some title cards for the 3 songs without Kdenlive corrupting the project file and ruining the timestamps. This is the most basic, fundamental pieces (timestamps!) and it can't even do that.
I can't render it without being corrupt. And reloading the project file shows exactly what the renderer saw. Everything clobbered together with no respect for start times or length of clips. I don't know your schema but the fact everything starts at zero in the project file is pretty glaring: <property name="kdenlive:expandedFolders"/> <property name="kdenlive:documentnotes"/> <property name="xml_retain">1</property> <entry producer="producer0" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:01:13.814"/> <entry producer="producer1" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:00:49.516"/> <entry producer="producer2" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:00:19.052"/> <entry producer="producer3" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:01:42.309"/> <entry producer="producer4" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:00:47.147"/> <entry producer="producer5" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:00:50.851"/> <entry producer="producer6" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:00:49.516"/> <entry producer="producer7" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:00:04.972"/> <entry producer="producer8" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:00:04.972"/> <entry producer="producer9" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:00:49.516"/> <entry producer="producer10" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:00:19.052"/> </playlist> <playlist id="playlist7"/> <tractor id="tractor3" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:02:22.456"> <property name="kdenlive:trackheight">67</property> <property name="kdenlive:timeline_active">1</property> <property name="kdenlive:collapsed">0</property> <property name="kdenlive:thumbs_format"/> <property name="kdenlive:audio_rec"/> <track hide="audio" producer="playlist6"/> <track hide="audio" producer="playlist7"/> </tractor> <playlist id="playlist8"> <entry producer="producer8" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:01:13.814"> <property name="kdenlive:id">10</property> </entry> <entry producer="producer9" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:00:49.516"> <property name="kdenlive:id">11</property> </entry> <entry producer="producer10" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:00:19.052"> <property name="kdenlive:id">12</property> </entry> <playlist id="playlist4"> <entry producer="producer3" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:01:13.814"> <property name="kdenlive:id">5</property> </entry> <entry producer="producer6" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:00:49.516"> <property name="kdenlive:id">8</property> </entry> <entry producer="producer6" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:00:19.052"> <property name="kdenlive:id">8</property> </entry> </playlist> <playlist id="playlist5"/> <tractor id="tractor2" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:02:22.456"> <property name="kdenlive:trackheight">67</property> <property name="kdenlive:timeline_active">1</property> <property name="kdenlive:collapsed">0</property> <property name="kdenlive:thumbs_format"/> <property name="kdenlive:audio_rec"/> <track hide="audio" producer="playlist4"/> <track hide="audio" producer="playlist5"/> </tractor> <playlist id="playlist6"> <entry producer="producer5" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:01:13.814"> <property name="kdenlive:id">7</property> </entry> <entry producer="producer7" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:00:49.516"> <property name="kdenlive:id">9</property> </entry> <entry producer="producer4" in="00:00:00.000" out="00:00:19.052"> <property name="kdenlive:id">6</property> I'm not helping fix this dumpster fire anymore--not that anyone ever solved a single one of my bug reports anyway. |

OGG is not the best format to use for editing. Anyways can you share these files so I can debug this issue? You can also try transcoding them before editing...

Frdbr.. looking at the post he doesn't come back to answer... can be nice to know what version of kdenlive and on what platform he is working (win7? win8? Win10? Win11?) .. and also to have an OGG to replicate... but i think ckatko will never help the project (starting from the title of thread) |

Exactly. And how much internal mem he has available, and how many of that is in use (virus scanner and such). If internal mem end is reached crashes will come. And perhaps overall system info? Video editing on a win 10 pentium4 with 1gb internal and an almost full HDD will never work no. |

PS: Trick which is also often used with (also heavy system incriminating) audio software on win computers. Shut down your virus scanner!
For extra security you could also disconnect your internet access in that insecure situation. |
