Hi
When I try to render, the job gets stuck on "waiting" status, even after pressing "start job". I tried re-installing and other output formats. What else could I try? Any help would be highly appreciated! Switch off parallel processing and any other "experimental" features. Also delete all *rc files. I would assume that your source files play normal in VLC et al.

Hi berndmj,
thank you so much for replying! I haven't changed anything in the default settings. "Parallel processing" is thus switched off. Would any of the default settings be "experimental"? How can I find out they are experimental? Best Solé |

Hello,
try the following: Format: Generic .... MP4-H264/AAC Quality as you like, Video 20 is good enough. Full project More options -> a window will appear on the right. There Ennoder speed (on the very left, it takes a little longer, but makes the videos a little smaller). Encoder threads: 0 (this is the automaitc setting and the best one. Parallel processing: OFF 2 pass: OFF Export audio (automaitic) Then it should work. |

Thank you, Mickae, for your effort... I tried it at 2:00 AM, went to bed - it was still in "waiting" mode. Coming back to the computer now 9 hours later, it's still "Waiting...". It doesn't start the process.

Hello Solé,
Okay, there must be something crucially wrong. I really like using Kdenlive, it is by far the best video editor for Linux. Maybe you should reset Kdenlive. This is what you do: Rename the file: ~/.config/kdenliverc to e.g. kdelniverec-, then Kdenlive creates a new one - and Kdenlive is like fresh, but your personal settings are lost. If necessary you could delete the new one and rename the old one. Then render your project again. How long is your project? Rendering takes about one to four times the time, usually not longer. But first make a test, if necessary only a part: Selectet Zone, before with I and O the Inpoint and the Outpoint determine. I wish you good luck - and please report how it goes. |

ok this is an issue with ffmpeg or MLT.. i think that using an appimage can solve the issue in a bunch of seconds:
please use this: https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kden ... 4.appimage |

What's going on? I often hear about instabilities - on my Manjaro Linux, Kdenlive is always up to date and really extremely stable.
