Hi all, I've been using kdenlive for a while now, and from the nature of my videos, I end up using only four keyboard keys (select, cut, move, play/pause) all the time plus the mouse wheel to navigate the timeline.

I'm wondering if it's there any proven hardware for kdenlive on linux that has some configurable keys plus a knob, like this thing Image

I'm new to video editing hardware and don't want to spend 100's of dollars on stuff that won't work on linux or with kdenlive, but I do think this could accelerate my video editing process a lot.

Would like to know what other more experienced people use in terms of hardware to control video editing in kdenlive.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks @bartoloni actually the picture I shared is for the shuttleXpress I found on Amazon.

The thread on the shutcut forum seems to have useful information, I'm just afraid of spending 60$ on something that might not work 100%.

I also found a cheaper solution to try which is about 27$

i saw the device.. it's cheaper but only a Jog ? (or is a shuttle?)

[Compatible system]The keypad after customized programming are compatible with windows and MAC OS, and PC setting software is only applicable to windows.

seems that Linux is not supposed to be used (or are you using WIndows?)

take in mind that the "ShuttleExpress" can be easly found used (on ebay or similar sites) at 30/40$ .. i buy mine for 36 euros. (and probably they are NEW... used 1 day?)

I'm trying to use configure/use the Contour ShuttlePRO V2 with Kdenlive 22.12.2 I've gone to the manual and followed the steps to add the Adobe selection and also point to the Kdenlive.exe. I can see in the Contour console the functions are present. When I open Kdenlive, nothing repsonds. Next I go to 'configure Kdenlive'. Under he jog shuttle, this page tells me the jog/shuttle is disabled. What the heck? I've searched and searched how to 'enable' this and find nothing. It's frustrating to not be able to find my answers through searches. This is my next step. I tried to post a screen capture of the configure screen saying job/shuttle is disabled. I don't seem to be able to post images here. Yet another endless frustration.
