You know, when someone records their cellphone, and it's in portrait (not landscape) how they use the footage, zoomed in, as the filler for the rest of the unused 1920x1080 landscape? Can that be done in Kdenlive easily or is it something complex?

Hi! you have to create a landscape project (for example 1920x1080 30fps) ... load the portrait clip (do not accept the project change resolution, stay on landscape!)
place the clip on timeline.. and after that just add the PILLAR ECHO effect to the clip.
