I'm trying to figure out how to cut an area of a clip out of the clip itself. I've tried googling this but all the results are just trimming a clip on the timeline or normal cropping. Best way to explain what I mean is by just saying that I'm trying to figure this out to make a "you got the dud" meme but I know that this would also just be very useful to know for anything I'd be making. If this isn't possible in kdenlive then what free alternative programs are there that it can be done in?
Thanks for any help |

People who have lost their hearing may feel a range of emotions, including frustration, isolation, and depression, as hearing loss can significantly impact their quality of life. They may struggle to communicate effectively with others, miss out on social events, and feel like they are not fully participating in their daily lives. Therefore, it's essential to be aware of the impact of hearing loss and seek help from a hearing care professional to improve communication, safety, and overall quality of life. https://foresthillsaudiology.com/

You can do this in kdenlive very easily. Position the playhead at the frame where you want the first cut. Press I on the keyboard to set the in-point. Then move the playhead to the frame where you want the last cut and press O to set the out-point. Then click on the Extract Timeline Zone icon or press Shift+X. This will cut the clip into three parts: a part before the first cut, one between the two and one after the second cut, remove/delete the second part and then move the third part to abut the first. The Kdenlive manual has a fairly extensive section about editing explaining the various techniques. Hope this helps ...

You can cut a video, audio, image, or other clip in two by using the Scissor icon in the top left of the timeline or by clicking the S key on your keyboard. Firstly, select the clip you want to split. Then drag the seeker (the white vertical line with a circle on top) to where you want to split your clip. You can also click on the spacebar on your keyboard to move the seeker. After that click the scissors icon in the timeline menu to split your clip. In addition, I suggest you to visit Sloboda Studio and check helpful information.
