Hello.
In https://launchpad.net/~kdenlive/+archiv ... lter=focal
only has Kdenlive version 22.08.0-1 , but the recent version 22.08.1 is available only for Ubuntu 22.04.

Not more version for Ubuntu 20.04 Focal ?
Thanks for reply.

If click the 'package details' link on the PPA page, you should see that the focal packages are failing to build for some reason.

This could be that there needs to be some tweak made to the packaging scripts, but it could also mean that the minimum versions of all the components required to compile kdenlive are now newer than what is available in Ubuntu 20.04, and they have not worked around this. Or cannot. I am not an expert in this area, but this is what seems to be the case here, browsing at the build log.

Kdenlive's flatpak and appimage of course won't have this sort of issue.

You probably need to use Flatpak or appimage packages for this, then.
If the core dependencies to build/run Kdenlive can't be met with what is available in 20.04's repositories, there is little that can be done.
