I tried to teach the software to some adult students. Apart from the several crashes we had, there was one quite important problem.

We needed to change the image clip default duration for a specific type of project. Generally, I go to Settings/Configure Kdenlive to do that. But two students had a Mac computer, and under Settings there was no Configure Kdenlive.

So, is there another way to do it? I searched for an answer but didn't find anything.

The settings menu is on mac under Kdenlive -> preferences (see here https://docs.kdenlive.org/en/user_inter ... u-mac-os-x)

What type of crashes do you have on Mac?

Thank you both for your immediate responses!

The class was over by the time I posted that topic, unfortunately I cannot test, but next time I'll know!

The crashes were not on Mac, they were on windows and mostly at the beginning, after changing the setting of image clip duration and importing the files into the project bin.

I had a similar problem, when kdenlive converted an .aac audio recording to .m4a. It crashed every time until I decided to completely delete the .aac and keep only the converted file. But when I tried to reproduce the crash under... lighter circumstances for my pc, It didn't crash.

So,consider this closed. Thank you!
