can you provide more infos_ what platform - OS , what version of kdenlive? just to be sure to not request help for an obsolte or bugged version of Kdenlive.

I use Pop_OS! operating system (based on Ubuntu).

My version of KDELinve is the latest e stable one.

I know it sounds stupid but just making sure you are dragging and dropping the mp3 file from the project bin to an audio track in the timeline, right?
Is there enough space to put the audio?
