No more cursor in the 2 monitors

Sun Jan 15, 2023 10:23 am
Hello,
Since version 22.12.1 of Kdenlive under flatpak 1.12.2 (Linux Mint 21.1 - KDE Version 5.101.0 - Qt Version 5.15.8 - MLT Version 7.13.0 ),
Linux Mint 21.1 with Xfce 4.16
I no longer have a cursor, nor the visualization of the start and end of zone markers in the 2 monitors (clip and project).
I can no longer make any editing with this malfunction.
Thanks for your help.

Did you check whether the monitor info overlay is switched off? Right-click on the monitor > Current Monitor Overlay

I can't find Current Monitor Overlay

Everything worked fine with the previous KDEnlive setup.
I tested the same version in AppImage and it works fine. Maybe there is a bug or incompatibility with Flatpak

It is the first item in the second window (see your screenshot): "Informations encrustees sur monitor" (or something along those lines - sorry my French is rusty). It must be checked for the play marker, interval tickmarks and in and out points to be visible

Checking this box does not change anything.

Hmm, that is weird but I am afraid this is indeed a flatpack issue then. Sorry, but I cannot help you with this. But since the appimage works for you at least you can work with kdenlive, right?

Yes, this is the temporary fallback solution, pending an upcoming patch.
Thanks

I confirm that I have the same problem with the flatpak version using Pop_OS 22.04.

I just installed the last version 22.12.2 of Kdenlive under flatpak.
Everything now works correctly.
Thanks
