Is there any way to have the adjustments made with the faders in the audio mixer panel be keyframed? Like automation in other nle's. Also, can you use the audio mixer to adjust the volume of a single clip instead of the whole track?

Put the Volume (keyframable) plugin on the master for the whole project. (search box: volume)
Or on a specific clip for that specific clip.

And yes, it is keyframable. Not as extensively as in a good DAW, but still possible.
