I've been using Kdenlive for about three years now and I use the position and zoom feature a lot. It's always been easy to manually move an image where I want it using the crosshairs in the Project Manager. I just upgraded to version 22.12.1 and now I don't see the crosshairs (or, for that matter, the menu that used to appear when you hovered over the top right of the Project Manager pane). Is there a setting I need to select/deselect now or how can I manually change the position of an image?

I think you mean the "project monitor", not manager, right? The edit mode can be enable by clicking the icon to the immediate right of the fast forward button underneath the project/clip monitor

Thank you for your quick response. And, yes, I meant Monitor, not Manager.

I see the icon to which you're referring. Hovering over it says "Show/Hide edit mode". But when I toggle it, nothing seems to change. I still can't drag the image where I need it (can't drag it at all).

Oh! But I did just discover that the "Show/Hide edit mode" works with the Transform effect. There still isn't the helpful, visual crosshairs that I'm used to, and I've never used Transform before, but at least it's a way to adapt. I'm just wondering why the original Position and Zoom functionality is gone.

I don't use the Position and Zoom effect much as the Transform effect gives me a lot more control in one piece. But perhaps I am gonna look into this as I can see some use cases.
Anyway, for me the red handle frame shows up whenever I select a Transform or Position and Zoom effect in any of the clips in the timeline. Edit mode is enable in the monitor so I am not sure why it doesn't show up on yours. Have you tried with a new project and just one clip in the timeline with just that one effect?
