Hello!

Simple question. Just wondering how I can select a part of a grouped clip, instead of having to: select the clip, ungroup, select the segment, make changes accordingly, reselect clips, regroup.

Would be nice to just have to hold ALT then left-click on part of the grouped clip and have that part selected.

AFAIK, this is not possible. You have to go through the steps you described, unfortunately.

Ah darn, would be a fantastic feature to add. That's unfortunate.

Does Kdenlive have plugin capability? Perhaps I'll make it myself if so!

Unfortunately not. But the kdenlive dev team is always looking for additional hands on the keyboard so if you can program there are opportunities
