IIRC, in Cubase 10.5 I can not only move audio clips around as a "group", but I can also glue them together into a single audio clip. While Kdenlive will allow me to group clips so it is easy to move them around, I don't see how to "glue" them together.
I need to glue Kdenlive clips together because when I apply keyframing based effects such as animation or based audio gain, I need the effects to play across the whole "spectrum" of the formerly separate clips instead of individually. I realize I can copy the effects from a single clip in a group and paste them onto other clips in the same group, but that causes awkward issues with the keyframing that would not be present if I were to just have a single continuous clip. NOTE: I'm currently on Kenlive 22.0.4.2-x86_64 because IIRC one of the Kdenlive builds consistently crashed but my Windows 10 and Debian 11 machines on startup. 22.0.4.2-x86_64 feels highly stable to me. This is off topic, but I have an NVIDIA GT 710 if that has anything to do with the crashing of modern Kdenlive builds on startup. Unfortunately, it would a potential burden for me to buy a newer graphics card right now. |
