Hello,
I'm trying the latest 23.04 version of Kdenlive on Ubuntu 22.04 with a decent config of core i9 processor with 32gb ram and quadro gfx card.
But everytime I want to import mxf video files at large quantity at once (e.g 50/60 files) it gets frozen. With 5/6 files it works fine.
On the same PC in Windows importing 50/60 files works fine.

Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?

Try the hotfix 23.04.0a if not already on it. If the issues persist go back to a previous version and wait for 23.04.1 (May 15th but who knows) and hope for the best.

I had the same problem. I could not sort it out.

In the end it sorted itself out by doing the following...


1. Open "terminal" on Ubuntu
2. Type "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade"
3. Enter your Ubunut password (you can not see the entry, that's ok)
4. answer "yes" in the case you will asked
5. try kdenlive now
