Curacao nature

Tue Aug 13, 2013 4:20 pm
I recently completed a 6-part nature documentary series, shot on the Caribbean Island of Curacao, as part of a long term awareness campaign. The series has been recorded using Panasonic Lumix camera's (FZ150 with extenders, and GH2), and edited in Kdenlive. All background music has been produced and recorded in house. The series aired on local TV (for which I unfortunately had to downgrade the resolution to SD).
Kdenlive devs: thanks so much for a wonderful system! I feel so much better not having to pipe over hundreds of $$ for what is basically buggy commercial software. A small bug in Kdenlive got resolved in less than 2 days! That's empowerment!

Anyway, for the ones who like to get an impression of Curacaos nature, and learn some Papiamentu along the way:
(I shot and edited the series in fullHD (no transcoding necessary, avchd works fine in kdenlive with enough processor horsepower!!!), but uploaded 720p)
