Hi there!
It's been a while, but I created another Games for Linux! music video, all thanks to Kdenlive. It took me possibly 3 years to get all the scenes I needed and in this 3 years. My kdenlive file survived every Kdenlive update (I'm on Arch Linux btw.). There was only one update, where I had to adjust the cuts a little bit, but overall it worked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1hZ-CTOaCc The most important part from a cut/compositing view might be the first 20 s. |

Nice!
What did you use in kdenlive in 9-10 sec, when 2nd and the 3rd screen is coming, and then you have 3 screens? And then 0:16 sec? Did you synchronised this effect with music rhythm manually or you used other function? |

First: I don't even know, if there's a function to synchronise video and audio in this way, so yes, this is all done manually.
And yes, these are 3 screens or 3 clips that I just move a little bit to the left at the same time with "composite". I did cut the 2nd and 3rd on the left side, so the right side is there, but you don't see them, because the next screen covers it. So I use let's say on 2 screens composite: composite has this nice key frames, so I let both screens move at the same time and get this nice effect. I did move the first screen -480 pixel for 5 frames (at 30 fps) and the second screen at the same time -960 pixel also for 5 frames (the video is 1920x1080). I would say just play a little bit with it to get a hang of it. It took me awhile to get it done like in the end result. |

Really inspiring! Great job!
Abut synchronizing video to the beat (but I am not sure this could be done automaticly) https://youtu.be/om7x9YU_0ZE But when is plenty of beats? Eg. Music Video Flicker Effect (Sony Vegas) https://youtu.be/AJqtVTvpdJY |

the way you included papers, please is hilarious.
Did you do the screen resizes for the Euro Truck SImulator 2 sequence? Those are really nice! I'd suggest a simple white font on slightly translucent black background for music credits next time. |
