Two years ago I decided to make a BIG CHANGE on how I make my videos: I decided to use only FREE or OPEN SOURCE software.
One of these software is Kdenlive. It is the best free video editing software that I've tried so far and I've been using it for two years to edit my videos on my YouTube channels. So all videos I've done starting January 2016 up to 2018, are all done using only free and open source software(except for the reuploads). Here are the animations and short vfx videos: WATCH HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFVTsUlDRRU WATCH HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cL17fBQZ4S0 WATCH HERE: https://youtu.be/Dl6twSL5B0c WATCH HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kepd38so-IY WATCH HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtIHH4LdFpI And I've just edited a lot of videos, with Kdenlive, on my second channel that it'd be too much to link all here, so if you're interested, just visit my channels on the links below: http://youtube.com/c/DoodleNotes - FILMS and ANIMATIONS https://www.youtube.com/c/DoodleNotesII - VLOGS, TUTORIALS, TIMELAPSE VIDEO, THE MAKING OFs SO YEAH! I intend to keep using Kdenlive in making my videos. I'll also try being active at reporting any bugs I find with the software and I also want to say THANK YOU to the devs for keeping on working on it and making it better! I am using Kdenlive version 17.08.2 on Ubuntu Studio(there's no update yet for the latest version on Ubuntu and the appimage is not loading some effects). I sometimes use the version 17.12.0 on WIndows 10 but Kdenlive runs well with Linux. So far, the bugs I found are: 1. Multiple clips with the Speed Effect, when all are selected and dragged, loses the speed effect. Solution: Drag each clip one by one. 2. In Windows 10, pressing SPACE to play doesn't respond right away unless I press the left or right arrow keys. |

Have you used any other programs than Kdenlive since you wrote this thread? I'm curious to see if you found better apps than this. I'm new to video editing and am searching for a good program. Several people recommended filmora and movavi to me, but I don't like them because they have a difficult interface for a newbie. To start, I'm thinking of using simple web editors, like https://www.fastreel.com/rotate-video.html. What are your opinions about them? If you don't mind, I'd want to see your most recent videos to see the difference. I hope that didn't sound rude. If I offended you, please accept my apologies.
