Hello,

Links for downloading the demo Live DVD/USB such as http://www.poure.com/kdenlive/debian-live-dvd-20090704.x32.iso are broken. I suspect the site www.poure.com has crashed.

The site may be up, but routing to it is having problems:

michael@post:~$ traceroute -n www.poure.com
traceroute to www.poure.com (91.121.76.152), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets

michael@post:~$ nslookup 213.251.191.58
Server: 127.0.0.1
Address: 127.0.0.1#53

Non-authoritative answer:
58.191.251.213.in-addr.arpa name = rbx-21-m1.routers.ovh.net

The last response is from ovh.net

jmpoure is ovh.net your ISP? If so you can use this as a problem report.

And as a partial reply to myself ...

michael@post:~$ nslookup 91.121.131.13
Server: 127.0.0.1
Address: 127.0.0.1#53

Non-authoritative answer:
13.131.121.91.in-addr.arpa name = 20g.rbx-1-6k.routers.chtix.eu.

chtix.eu may also be part of the problem - the net address of 91.121.131.13 is "closer" to the destination than the hop that follows.

Someplace else?

Is there anywhere else that we can download the live DVD? Maybe a torrent? Maybe on this server? At least until the other site is back up.

Please add torrents for the sample content also. I'm interested in the AVCHD clips.

Does poure.com being down effect anyone else besides the kdenlive community? It seem strange that it's been down for so long.

As jmpoure pointed out, the site isn't down. There's a routing problem between our sites and his site. Aside from creating a trouble ticket with his ISP, it's out of his control.

Pardon my ignorance, but does that mean that the file and the server are up and running? If that is the case, could you just get to the file directly? Also, if I go to the site www.poure.com, nothing comes up. I'm sure you already know that, but I guess I'm just confused as to how it is a routing problem.

Thanks,
Lexen

Lexen,

See my post dated Tue, 09/08/2009 - 01:53 the times indicate how long it took to get a response from each router on the path betwen my system and www.poure.com The * indicates no response.

After 91.121.131.13 and 213.251.191.58 no further responses return. Compare that sequence to:

michael@hive:~$ traceroute -n www.google.com
traceroute to www.google.com (74.125.155.106), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets
1 64.105.252.41 0.266 ms 0.360 ms 0.462 ms
2 172.22.0.1 10.807 ms 12.007 ms 13.959 ms
3 192.168.23.69 15.402 ms 16.876 ms 18.579 ms
4 66.236.9.169 20.037 ms 21.502 ms 22.966 ms
5 207.88.83.133 25.160 ms 27.355 ms 28.840 ms
6 65.106.0.189 30.526 ms * 31.826 ms
7 * 65.106.1.97 24.106 ms 24.857 ms
8 65.106.1.46 24.056 ms 23.692 ms 23.768 ms
9 207.88.13.145 23.510 ms 24.176 ms 24.765 ms
10 216.156.100.26 24.571 ms 23.557 ms 23.118 ms
11 209.85.249.32 23.087 ms 209.85.249.34 22.800 ms 209.85.249.32 23.630 ms
12 72.14.239.12 26.159 ms 25.729 ms 209.85.250.126 27.016 ms
13 209.85.250.144 29.425 ms 26.325 ms 209.85.250.146 27.473 ms
14 64.233.174.129 28.895 ms 64.233.174.131 28.159 ms 64.233.174.123 28.733 ms
15 209.85.254.150 32.932 ms 31.439 ms 28.385 ms
16 74.125.155.106 29.344 ms 27.625 ms 25.886 ms

Google is shown as reachable.

So the server is up, but some parts of the Internet can't reach it.

Tech Side note: I also did a port 80 tcptraceroute to ensure it was not a case of ICMP packets being blocked. The results were the same.
