I have installed kdenlive 0.4-02 from the debian 64 bit debian-multimedia repository ( i think)

it seemed to install ok

but when i try to add a clip I get this error "The specified folder does not exist or was not readable."

this is before i get to choose which folder i want the file from

I then click ok and get a browser pointing to / with the correct folder showing but an incorrect path to it.

I then manually choose the folder and file I want

I then get this error "The specified folder does not exist or was not readable."

I have it installed on another partition with a 386 version which works very well so far i.e. the above errors do not occur

and it seems to work but I have not done any serious editing yet ( i installed it about a month ago)

any ideas would be appreciated

Dave
