Just installed 0.7.2.1 on Mandriva 2009 and it crashes before opening everytime I try to run it. I used the Cooker rpm from rpmfind.net and thought I installed all of the dependencies including mlt 0.3.6 and libmlt++1-0.3.6.

The Avformat module (FFMPEG) has a big red X before it under "installed modules" in the "Checking MLT Engine" window. Everything else checks out.

Here's what happens:

First, the "Welcome" screen comes on.

Next, the "Check MLT engine" screen.

The "Video Standard" screen is next.

Then comes "Additional Settings."

The "Checking System" screen is next, then it crashes and the error message window comes up which reads:

"A Fatal Error Occurred

The application Kdenlive (kdenlive) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV)."
