When I was on Kubuntu 8.04, I always used kdenlive 0.5, it's a great program, thanks for making it! But yesterday I upgraded to Kubuntu 8.10 and KDE 4.2 RC1 and now I installed kdenlive 0.7.1 using this: http://kdenlive.org/user-manual/downloading-and-installing-kdenlive/pre-compiled-packages/ubuntu-packages

But after starting kdenlive, it says that it cannot find the MLT avformat module.

I already tried all the possible solutions in this forum, but the problem still persists. I didn't compile anything that kdenlive requires by hand, I only followed the instructions from your website to install baudm's packages.
