Install on Ubuntu 8.04?

Sun Feb 01, 2009 12:36 am

Hello,

I would like to install on Hardy but I only see packages for Intrepid and Jaunty. Can this be done?

Thanks for any info.

You will have to compile from source; I suggest using the builder wizard.

First, you need to get the kde4 libs for 8.04, and hopefully the instructions here still work:

If your distribution is really old, you should ask help on Ubuntu to dist-upgrade to a more recent distrib. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the replies. I have decided to wait for Jaunty. I will download the Live USB demo and give it a try.

Has the demo been updated to 0.7.2?
