hi,

i have a mixed ubuntu system, quite minimal (not (much) kde, gnome etc - fluxbox), which i fully upgraded from hardy to intrepid, added jaunty repositories and installed the latest kdenlive (0.7.2.1-0ubuntu2) with all dependencies + medibuntu stuff.

when i run kdenlive, at the end of installation wizard it crashes without an exception.

what's the version of the qt libs?

could you try compiling kdenlive (mlt packages should be ok) with the builder wizard?

libqt version is 4.5.0-0ubuntu3

and

kdelibs are 4:4.2.1a-0ubuntu4

and

libmlt1 and libmlt++1 are now  at 0.3.6-0baudm1 (from https://launchpad.net/~baudm/)

the crash reports the same.

could you try the builder wizard? kdenlive 0.7.2.1 has some issues with qt 4.5 i think...

ok, using the builder wizard solved this problem.

then it should be qt 4.5. there's a 0.7.3 coming out in few days, that will probably work. but you can always use the builder wizard the get the newest features!
