in the debian sid version (0.7.4.1) the frei0r plugins are no longer visible. They are visible in the 7.3 version iirc.
They are also visible in open movie editor, only kdenlive 7.4.1 doesn't show them. It's package frei0r-plugins 1.1.22git20090409-2. Or have they been disabled intentionally ? |

Works for me. Do you have melt installed?
Also check if you have libmlt2++ installed. |

Oh ! You're also using debian with the version from debian-multimedia ?
Below are package versions I have installed. No I am using Kdenlive and dependant modules from Debian SID. Melt is part of SID only.
You are missing melt from SID. "apt-get install melt". This should install libml1 as a dependency. |

I understand the problem in more details after producing a live DVD. By default libmlt1 is installed from Debian Marillat. Try to install libmlt1 from Debian SID and it will work.

Hi,
thanks for your advice, but as you can see from the package list I have posted above, I have installed the sid versions. The marillat versions have already been removed from the repositories in the meantime, but the problem still persists. Still no frei0r plugins for me :( |

Okay, I will test, including the live DVD.

You are right. The melt package was not compiled against Frei0r and does not include dependencies for it. So will contact the developer using his thread on the forum. Thanks for the report. Follow-up: http://www.kdenlive.org/forum/kdenlive-debian-sid-and-squeeze-call-testing
