X server error

Sat Mar 20, 2010 4:29 pm
Hello,
I don't know if this is the correct place for this question. Just seeking some help here.

I'm using Widows 7 64 bit. I was interested to try Kdenlive so I downloaded the USB 64 bit file and wrote the img to a 4 GB USB thinguie.

The process gets stuck during booting when a message wizard window tells me there is something wrong with X server and let's me view a couple of log files. I beleive the relevant messages in the logs are these:

(WW)NV:Ignoring unsupported device 0x10de0862 (C79 [Geforce 9400M G])
(WW)Falling back to old probe method for vesa fdev
(EE)open /dev/fb0 no such file on directory
(EE) No devices detected

So it seems this thing does not like my Nvidia GeForce 9400M G card.
Any way around this?
Thanks for any help

Is this a new card?
Then maybe the problem is the age of the image/iso.
