Kdenlive in slackware error

Mon Jun 28, 2010 5:56 am
hi

i have a problem with my kdenlive.
i use slackware 13.1 32bit. and i have built kdenlive from slackbuild package.
but, the problem is, all the requirement to build kdenlive is complete, like ffmpeg etc.
but after i install kdenlive, the kdenlive didn't detect ffmpeg package in my slackware (the kdenlive install but it didn't detect ffmpeg package).

what's wrong with my step?

please enlighten me

I don't know anything about slackware, but maybe you could try this.
Try: Settings -> Run Config Wizard

Maybe that will help.

Were does it report it didn't detect ffmpeg?
Does playing a file in the command line with "melt filename" work?

Just installed ffmpeg-r22900-i486-1alien.tgz
And installed kdenlive again... still same result :-(

SOLVED

compiled the whole pack again.. this time carefully reading the READMEs
Observed that libquicktime was missing.
Installed it and recompiled kdenlive... avformat detected :-)

its awkward that one never gets an error or warning for the missing libquicktime....
