I just noticed a mix of CLI and GUI ways in the
http://www.kdenlive.org/user-manual/downloading-and-installing-kdenlive/pre-compiled-packages/ubuntu-packages
So I'm suggesting to add
$ sudo apt-add-repository ppa:sunab/kdenlive-release
to the CLI part for the last to be complete :)
