I'm running Ubuntu 13.04 and unfortunately, kdenlive was just removed because libmlt6 was installed, which apparently is incompatible with kdenlive. When I try to re-install kdenlive, I get this error:
"Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: kdenlive : Depends: libmlt5 but it is not going to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages." Do I need to roll back to libmlt5 somehow, or will an updated kdenlive be pushed? |

That actually worked!
Basically, login as guest. Then, select kdenlive 12.04 64-bit, then under "Artifacts" is the compressed download. Just uncompress that build somewhere on your machine & run start-kdenlive -- good to go! |
