Hello,
I have updated opensuse with kde desktop to 11.4; I have also updated packages but I got this error details trying to start kdenlive

Application: Kdenlive (kdenlive), signal: Segmentation fault
[KCrash Handler]
#7 mlt_properties_find (this=0x0, name=0x8319f47 "resize") at mlt_properties.c:348
#8 mlt_properties_fetch (this=0x0, name=0x8319f47 "resize") at mlt_properties.c:414
#9 0xb77a5c14 in mlt_properties_set_int (this=0x0, name=0x8319f47 "resize", value=1) at mlt_properties.c:738
#10 0xb778e694 in Mlt::Properties::set(char const*, int) () from /usr/local/lib/libmlt++.so.3
#11 0x080d2fa9 in _start ()

Does it mean libmlt++.so.3 is looking for some environment variable to locate something else, am I missing any -devel packages? suggestions are welcome.

Thank you.

Hello,
I have managed to solve the problem. I downloaded mlt and kdenlive source code, I had to uninstall previous mlt using,

sudo make uninstall mlt

Then I followed the normal process of mlt installation taking care to make a clean build

./ configure --enable-gpl
sudo make clean
sudo make install

then a normal kdenlive installation.
