Installation worked fine now. I got feedback in the log window and the progress bar worked too. Thanks for helping me improve it :-)

It still crashs on startup: I hope the newer revisions solved it for you? And I did indeed have a very nice trip - thanks! :-) Regards Mads |

I'm running this on intrepid, and it is AMAZING! The only thing that doesn't work is exporting! |

Yeah, it really is looking awesome. Can't wait for export to stabilize (and I'd love to see the make DVD feature make a come back!). @lunarcloud - That looks sweet with the dark theme! |

Settings >> Configure Kdenlive >> Environment >> Mlt profiles folder and Inigo path. For example, for me this is... /home/gsking/kdenlive/20081010/share/mlt/profiles and /home/gsking/kdenlive/20081010/bin/inigo |

I have a suggestion for the wizard. .. Thanks, you are absolutely right. I have been unaware of this issue until quite recently, and have managed to not fully understand the implications and actually forget the issue again. I have just mailed a patch to jb, that should fix this - I will update the wizard as soon as he has accepted it (if he accepts it, otherwise I will have to find another solution). This is not fixed in the 0.5.1 version of the wizard, but I will fix it in the next version, which I reckon I will have to call 0.6.0. |

This is now fixed. Jb made a change to kdenlive, and the wizard now supports this. Go download version 0.6.0 to get the new (hopefully bug-free) functionality. Sorry about the problems it may have caused everybody, and thanks again for explaining the problem. |

Hey Mads, The builder isn't working at all at the moment, and it looks like a different error to the da.po one. Now, fairly early on the build fails stating "Unable to update the SVN repo in Kdenlive to -r HEAD". I'm wondering if the recent language folder structure changes has thrown the builder into a panic. I know very, very little about SVN, but I noticed that there is no "Head" folder in the Kdenlive SVN repo I could see. Just KDE4. Anyway, the log is below (the forum doesn't allow .txt's). I would have filed a bug report but it didn't seem right given that this is the builder and not Kdenlive itself. svn: Failed to add directory 'po/zh': an unversioned directory of the same name already exists Thats the problem: I think jb has fixed this issue from popping up again, but still, "local copies all over the world are currently in conflict". Could you please, in a terminal, do the following (if you do not have made any changes to the svn dir personally, which I take it you have not.)
then try the builder again? If that does not work, then, please try
then the builder... I am pretty sure the first step should be more than enough though. Thanks for the nice words btw, and please, do send wizard bug reports directly to me. |

Neither wizard nor sh script works for me, 've come a lot closer to getting kdelive compiled manually (closet I get is compiled but error on linking by myself.) KBWTRACE: Entering cmd @ = ./configure --prefix=/home/dan/kdenlive --disable-network --disable-ffserver --enable-gpl --enable-shared --enable-swscale --enable-debug --enable-pthreads --enable-libtheora --enable-libvorbis --enable-libmp3lame --enable-x11grab As for the other one: cp -p ffmpeg_g ffmpeg Also checking ACC support doesn't work, the configure script for latest svn of ffmpeg doesnt not have a liba52 option when i checked it out manually... I'm running the wizard via kdesudo kmdr-editor scriptnamehere.kmdr etc, it's building ffmpeg.. lets see how it goes... though I got my own custom build of ffmpeg.. and mlt.. i just could not for the life of me get mlt compiled... libavformat errors :/ (bad symbol or something). Okay the wizard built kdenlive for me... use kdesudo on the build (last time i had to that as well when getting the svn.. but then it wouldnt build? strange that it does now after built a few things on my own..)... entering account password when hitting next didnt work.. still gives permission errors on its own. Well anyway its working now since I made the post... |

It ended up working, but the ACC option doesn't work when I try it. liba52 doesn't appear to be a valid option for configure with ffmpeg. |
