I have problems with the audio being ahead of the video - the longer the clips, the further ahead it gets. I found this site: http://www.kdenlive.org/bbforum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=92 which sounds like my problem. I then went to the wiki page it recommended: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Kdenlive/Getting_and_installing#Ubuntu I tried the svn stuff but nothing seemed to be working. I tried following the instructions in the wiki, including using the build script, but kept getting errors. I finally downloaded ffmpeg, mlt, mlt++ and kdenlive sources, then tried to do the makes. It took a while, for reasons I don't even understand, but finally go ffmpeg, mlt and mlt++ made and installed. Then on to kdevline 5.1. I tried the cmake ., then make and it aborted. Tried ./configure then make, it still aborts. In 1 of the attpempts it said something about MLT_PREFIX not defined in current state or some such thing. I re-ran ./configure, then re-ran make, and get this as the output: dave@dave-desktop:~/kdenlive-0.5$ make I have no idea on what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I have a set of video clips from a camcorder I need to get strung in to different movies. This sound issue is stopping me from doing so. I've tried Cinelerra and several other recommended products and can't get anywhere with them. Kdenlive seems to be the right choice, but I need the audio problem fixed! Thanks in advance! :) |

Thanks for all of the great replies  - guess I'll have to look for another tool to use instead. Pity. |
