Packman has updated ffmpeg to 0.8
There is no option to downgrade.
Is it ok to run with this version? I am having some weird problems like:

Playing an MTS clip - Audio goes, but Video is frozen
Playing an MOV clip - Audio goes, but Video is frozen
Transcoding to DNxHD (MOV) completes but the clip will only play with ffplay
Previously transcoded to MOV files play with mplayer
Newly transcoded to MOV files - Audio plays Video is purple box with mplayer

I tried the videolan version (0.7), but it didn't help, and there is no ffplay with it.

Updated info.

After updating to kdenlive 0.8.1 rev 5745 and the opensuse updates, the issue seems to have gone away. Mostly. MKV and MTS files still have issues, but MOV and MP4 seem fine.

With MKV files the video will get stopped while the audio continues to play. It feels like a buffer needs to fill up before the video will kick out. Stop, Backup, Try again, and again, and get similar results until you call your wife in. Then it just plays. However, if you click in the timeline forward or backward while playing, the same stuck video will happen.

With MTS files the video will play a couple frames and then just sticks. Stop, Move in the timeline, Play. Audio is fine, video gives a couple frames and then sticks. When I use FFPLAY the audio and video play just fine.

This testing was done with just 1 clip on the timeline. No effects/titles/composites etc...
So as long as it will work with DNxHD transcoded MOV files, I am functional.

At this point I will assume it is something specific and unique on my machines.

Thanks
