I am attempting to build mlt 0.7.8 from source on SUSE 11.4 64-bit. Configuration finds all required dependencies, and make chugs along until it gets to this:

make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/john/Installed/kdenlive/mlt-0.7.8/mlt-0.7.8/src/melt'
factory.c:81:45: error: missing binary operator before token "("
filter_sox.c:41:44: error: missing binary operator before token "("
filter_sox.c:47:44: error: missing binary operator before token "("
filter_sox.c:83:43: error: missing binary operator before token "("
filter_sox.c:109:43: error: missing binary operator before token "("
filter_sox.c:133:43: error: missing binary operator before token "("
filter_sox.c:143:43: error: missing binary operator before token "("
filter_sox.c:189:43: error: missing binary operator before token "("
filter_sox.c:222:43: error: missing binary operator before token "("
make[2]: *** [depend] Error 1
make[1]: *** [depend] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 1

Has anyone faced this before? Ideas? Thanks!

Problem was resolved by installing the sox devel package. :)
