I want to install Kdenlive from source because apparently you'll get more options and its more stable. The only problem is, its a pain in the butt! How exactly do I install it from source? Are there more detailed (and easy to follow instructions) than on http://www.kdenlive.org/download-source
I'm going to try to use the build script at http://kdenlive.org/download-development#script How can I uninstall/delete all of the stuff I installed from http://www.kdenlive.org/download-source (or do I even need to?). Antonio P.S. The main reason I want to install from source is because a lot of the rendering profiles (youtube, etc.) aren't available and have red x's next to them. |

The red X might be caused by this
http://www.kdenlive.org/forum/pcms16le-codec-not-found-even-though-it-there-fixed which can be fixed. So you might not need to build from source. If you are on ubuntu you could use sunab repository https://launchpad.net/~sunab/+archive/kdenlive-svn more info though on build scripts here http://www.mltframework.org/twiki/bin/view/MLT/BuildScripts#Kdenlive |
