I am trying to use kdenlive on Ubuntu 13.10, but when I try to detect scenes from an avi file, kdenlive crashes at some point. I repeated this process without success. I am running kdenlive on the standard Ubuntu desktop. Maybe I need to use the kde desktop (which is unstable as well)?

Is this a bug? Does the avi contain bad frames? How to solve my problem?
