Under Ubuntu Studio 14.04
Il think I made a big mistake tonight, but I'm unable to find what it was. I just installed a couple of softwares from Ubuntu Software Center, that didn't alert me that I could brake something... And of course it's in a hurry and I'm despaired (and reinstalling Ubuntu-Studio on this machine would kill all the time I have left to make my editings...

Whatever, what I did tonight broke the function that permits to preview the editing in the monitor. Actual rendering on file works fine without hanging but I can't see my work in progress anymore.

I tried to uninstall, reinstall... but no way.

If you have any clue on how I could get my Kdenlive funcional very fast, I would be grateful.

I did what I knew to be the ultimate solution : I reinstalled Ubuntu-Studio from scratch from DVD and updates : same bug !!!!!
Any idea ?

Can you provide more of a description as to what is happening - or not happening?

sometimes renaming ~/.kde/share/config/kdenliverc (resetting personnal settings) helps to get out of problems...
