I have installed Kdenlive from Packman repository as well as the demanded codecs. The respository is linked up.
The codecs (avformat, mlt6, ffmpeg) are installed, visible in Yast. I have manually checked all of them and ensured they are installed. However, when I start Kdenlive, the program claims these codecs are missing. What can be the reason? thanks for help.... |

Hmmm. You could try forcing a run of the start up wizard again.
Delete ~/.kde/share/config/kdenliverc and start kdenlive. And try running config wizard https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manua ... fig_Wizard |

Check that you have libmlt6-modules installed (from Packman). This package is only recommended, so might not necessarily be installed. If it is, try to switch all packages to the packman repo: https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Vendor_chan ... dor_change Maybe you have some underlying packages from the standard repos, which should be from Packman instead. And I hope you didn't add the VideoLAN repo. This is incompatible with Packman. If you so have it, remove it and do the above. The latest VLC (and even the beta) is available from Packman anyway and actually is exactly the same package (but the other libraries available from that repo are different versions than the ones from Packman). |

Thanks guys for fast answer. I tried it all. It works! Don't know why.
But never touch a running system - and Microsoft don't know either why it works for them. I have cut more than100h video with Pinnacle over years but it seems Kdenlive is bigger. Let's see how it works. |
