Newbie lost file-menu?

Sun Mar 01, 2015 10:55 am
Just installed Kdenlive 0.9.8
On Mint 17.1 w. last upgrades. Cinnamon V.2.4.5 Kernel 3.13.0-37-generic

File menu is missing, instead I can see "no text" -menu with 2 options "DVD Wizard" and "Transcode Clips"?
Crashes when selecting any options...
Tried un / reinstall and an older version; same issue.

Any ideas please?

Sounds as though your installation is incomplete or incorrect. You should try to run the 0.9.10 version. That has some vital bug fixes. If necessary, build it from source w/ the build_kdenlive.sh script.
